Miss Sloane... and gun-rights

Video Guy reviews "Miss Sloane" (Amazon Prime): This is an extremely smart film that features a very high level of intrigue and one of our greatest contemporary actresses, Jessica Chastain. You'll also find other notable actors Sam Waterston and John Lithgow.

The story is about a fictitious gun-rights bill that would expand background checks (which the majority of Americans support, including gun owners, in real life) and lobbyists on both sides of the argument. Chastain, Miss Sloane, is ruthlessly pro-expansion but driven more by her desire to win than any clear-cut moral stance. Listen to her philosophy - it plays an integral part in the film. This movie's conclusion was as satisfying as the conclusion of "The Sting."
