Someone Will Love me, Someday

Remember that feeling of really wanting to go out with someone, and realizing that person really doesn't want to go out with you? Well THAT'S what "trying to find a literary agent" feels like some days. Of course, some of those people let you down easy and so the rejection is only mildly traumatizing. Then there's the simple reply "Not for us!" - all brief and to the point - that feels kind of judgmental and unyielding ("Forget it, pal, I am NOT going out with YOU!"). Oh well...I will not be defeated! If my honey was willing to go out with me, someone will love this book I’ve written!
