The Video Guy HIGHLY recommends: "Much Ado About Nothing" (2012) - Joss Whedon's rendering of one of the Bard's best and most amusing tales. Amy Acker shines blindingly as Beatrice. Nathan Fillon ("Castle" & "Firefly"), a long-time collaborator with Whedon, is a hoot in a small but fun part! Give yourself time to get into the rhythm of Shakespeare's poetic ruminations and you won't miss a beat. Listen for the hauntingly beautiful song "Heavily" later in the film ... I downloaded it immediately, and was only disheartened because it's under 2 minutes and I could listen to it for an hour! I saw no real imperfections, with the possible exception of some errant clowning by the male lead, Alexis Denisof (Benedick), and was delighted to watch a film so wonderfully shot (in 8 days!) in black and white ... in my mind, oddly synchronistic with the fact that this is Shakespeare. 4 outta 5 stars - a gem!
