Birdman, Theory of Everything

THE VIDEO GUY gripes a bit: Saw "The Theory of Everything" recently. Eddie Redmayne deserved to be nominated for the Oscar. Saw "Birdman" last night. It is APPALLING to me that Michael Keaton did not win the Oscar! Odd, crazy little film; fascinating filming technique (felt mostly like one long, continuous shot). But mostly, a sensational piece of acting by Keaton. He won the Golden Globe for Best Actor - Comedy or Musical (this film being neither, in my opinion; it was as much a drama as any film last year). Across the board, the cast was excellent (Ed Norton? Sensational! Naomi Watts and Emma Stone? Terrific!) and Keaton absolutely should have won the Academy Award! I can't fathom what else the Academy could possibly want from a performance. Michael Keaton: BRAVO!
